Hello again,
Today we talk all, or almost all about raw shea butter  - uses, sources, look and texture and the benefits.

  • It can be used as after-shave for a soothing effect.
  • Shea butter can be used to relieve muscle fatigue, tension and aches.
    2. So, I will list the general uses of shea butter for your skin
  • Dry skin
  • skin rash
  • peeling after tanning
  • blemishes
  • wrinkles (takes 4 to 6 weeks to remove them)
  • itching
  • sun burns
  • skin cracks
  • small skin wounds
  • tough skin (heels and elbows)
  • frost bite
  • insect bites
  • Prevention of stretch marks

  • skin damage from burns, scalds or even radiation
   3. So, what exactly is SHEA BUTTER?
  • Shea Butter is an all natural vitamin A cream that is sourced from the seed of the shea tree, native to Africa, especially West Africa. The cream is extracted through cold-press, without the use of heat or chemicals. A majority of the total shea butter production is used in the production of chocolate treats by manufacturers, and only a small percentage is used for actual cosmetic purposes (so, yes, we eat A LOT of raw shea butter).
  • The texture of raw shea butter at room temperature is soft, and can easily be spread using butter knife, and hardens as temperatures drop. It melts with heat, so it will naturally soften once rubbed in the hands. The butter is well absorbed by the skin therefore there is no greasy feeling after application.
  • The colour of raw shea butter is uniform and close to beige. most manufacturers will mix it with other oils and products to make application easier, or to give it the consistency of your normal body cream. This may alter the colour and smell too.
  • The smell of raw shea butter is an earthly smell, and nothing like the normal cosmetic products. However, the smell will disappear shortly after application on the skin. You can melt it and add to your favourite lotion if you prefer it scented.
